Yep. You read that right. We’re going to GET UP AND DANCE today.

That’s what our family will be dancing to LIVE later on today!

The benefits of movement and music on anxious and depressive symptoms are huge. I challenge you, even if you don’t “feel” like doing it, to give it a go!

What Does Scripture Say?

2 Samuel 6:14-15 – Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, while he and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets.

If you’re a deep-fried Southern Baptist like myself, the thought of dancing and church sounds like sacrilege! Oh, the horror!

But, King David danced before the Lord. Not only that, he did so with all his might as a celebration. Elsewhere in Scripture we are instructed to do whatever we do “with all (our) might” because it is done to the glory of God. It’s time to celebrate, friends. Strongholds have been broken. Truth is reigning. Bit by bit, anxiety and fear is lifting – all to the glory of God the Father.

What Will You Do?

Well, first, you’re gonna dance.

For super-extra-FEARLESSness, I want you to do something super wild and crazy. Take a video of yourself as you’re doing this activity and post it to your own social pages. I know, I know. But, it doesn’t have to be long – it can be a 15 second Insta/FB Story clip. Or, you can go full-length feature film. Whatever suits your fancy, just turn the music up loud and go for it!
