SUNDAY APRIL 15
Activity: No social media day.
No lie, anger may arise. Usually when we are blocked from doing something we have become accustomed to, there is a tendency to respond in anger. These oils can assist with releasing that negative emotion when applied over the liver.
Why No Social Media?!
The rubber meets the road here, friends. This is going to be by far my most challenging day.
Because I use social media so much for my business, it’s a hard thing to be out of the loop for an entire day! The fear of missing out struggle is real, y’all!
But, this is important. My family deserves my FULL attention today (well, tomorrow, cause, yeah… posting this the day BEFORE no social media day). And, even more critical, my Savior deserves my full attention. I am so frequently divided and the result of that is stress, worry, and anxiousness.
When I stop and recalibrate, I am always the better for it.
What Does Scripture Say?
Psalm 46:1-3 – God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
I don’t need to fear missing ANYTHING because God is my ever present help. There is nothing that catches him by surprise. And, when I abide in Him, I am in tune with his will, desires and plan. My fear diminishes and even the big quaking mountains seem insignificant compared to his mighty power.
What Will You Do?
Stay off social media! That’s Facebook. Twitter. Instagram. SnapChat. Marco Polo. Everything!
I challenge you to go cold-turkey for a day. I’m planning on deleting the apps from my phone so that I don’t even have the temptation. I’m praying this will help us ALL be more intentional with our families and help us draw nearer to God.
